Local currency financing and FX hedging workshop
The AAB organized a workshop on local currency financing and currency hedging in Tirana on May 22, 2023, in collaboration with TCX. Long-term financing in local currency creates business opportunities, in all sectors, and contributes to the development of capital markets. However, it also requires effective currency exposure management. In this context, AAB facilitated the organization of a workshop by TCX, on local currency financing and protection against exchange rate movements.
During the workshop, participants discussed how TCX supports international lenders in providing long-term funds denominated in local currency for the benefit of local financial institutions and how to avoid direct or indirect currency mismatches.
The activity was attended by bank representatives.
