IFRS Training for Bank Employees – Strengthening Financial Reporting Expertise

On 25th-26th of March 2025, the Albanian Association of Banks has organized, in cooperation with Network Tribe, a training session on the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) Program, with the expert Mr. Savin Dyankov.

With the participation of 19 bank professionals, this training provided participants with in-depth knowledge and practical tools to apply IFRS standards effectively, ensuring compliance, risk assessments and improved financial reporting practices in the banking sector.

The training began with an overview of IFRS and the regulatory framework, highlighting its role in financial reporting, alignment with local regulations, and key updates affecting the banking sector. Participants then delved into IFRS 9 classification and measurement of financial instruments, exploring asset classification and business model assessment.  A dedicated session on IFRS 7 financial instruments disclosures focused on transparency requirements and risk reporting.

The training also featured interactive hands-on exercises and Q&A discussion with industry experts, exchange experiences, and discuss industry challenges.
