Albanian Team ranks fourth in the European Money Quiz final!
On May 23, 2024, Brussels hosted the final of the European Money Quiz, bringing together students from 30 countries across the continent in a high-level competition to test their financial knowledge.
This initiative by the European Banking Federation (EBF), Europe’s largest financial education competition for students aged 13–15 aims to equip the younger generation with essential financial skills through an engaging and interactive approach.
Albania was represented by Eldior Myftaraj and Mikel Rama, 9th-grade students from the “Drita Pelinku” school in Tirana, under the guidance of their teacher Roland Pjetrushaj.
In its seventh year of participation, the Albanian team achieved its best-ever result, placing fourth overall in this prestigious European competition.
Beyond the quiz itself, participants had the opportunity to visit Wikifin Lab, an innovative financial education center, take part in a bell-ringing ceremony at the Euronext Stock Exchange, and explore the Parlamentarium, – the European Parliament’s visitor centre.
This outstanding performance highlights the importance of financial education at an early age and marks a significant milestone for Albania on the European stage.
