AAB at CIT

On April 7, 2025, the Albanian Association of Banks (AAB) visited the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT):

  1. An open lecture on cybersecurity was held with students from the Faculty of Engineering. Members of AAB’s Cybersecurity Committee, Mr. Reglendi Xhango, Director of the Security Department at OTP Bank, and Ms. Entela Prifti, Director of the Security Division at Raiffeisen Bank, addressed the most common risks affecting businesses and individuals in the digital environment and discussed ways to protect against them.
  2. Following the lecture, an institutional meeting took place between CIT’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoglu, and AAB’s Secretary General, Mr. Spiro Brumbulli. The meeting emphasized a shared commitment to expanding future collaboration. Quality education in technology, cybersecurity, and finance requires close alignment with the dynamic developments of the industry and the demands of the labor market. There is room for cooperation to better connect theory with practice and to provide employment opportunities for young graduates. AAB is ready and eager to build bridges between the banking sector and academia.
