Open lecture with students of the Canadian Institute of Technology to raise awareness on data protection

As part of efforts to increase awareness of personal data protection, AAB organized an open lecture for students of the Canadian Institute of Technology. The activity aimed to provide practical knowledge on the implementation of GDPR in the Albanian banking sector and to highlight the importance of compliance in an increasingly complex digital environment.
The lecture was led by Ms. Ada Qazolli, Chair of the Compliance Committee at AAB and Head of the Compliance and Anti–Money Laundering Department at BKT. She presented the key steps for compliance and data protection, the legal and operational responsibilities of banks, as well as the challenges faced by financial institutions in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Students participated actively, engaging in questionnaires and practical case studies, which enabled them to deepen their understanding of regulatory frameworks and develop practical skills necessary for careers in finance, technology, and compliance. The activity created a valuable opportunity to bridge theory with practice and to prepare the younger generation for the professional challenges of the banking sector and beyond.
