Factoring and Supply chain finance in focus: FCI and AAB workshop in Tirana

On February 3 in Tirana, *FCI in cooperation with the Albanian Association of Banks (AAB), organized the “Factoring and Supply Chain Finance” workshop, a practical event dedicated to strengthening knowledge on modern working capital financing solutions and safer trade.

The workshop brought together representatives of commercial banks in Albania, who had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the main factoring and supply chain finance structures, their operational mechanisms, and the benefits these instruments offer to businesses and financial institutions.

Led by FCI Regional Director Mr. Spyros Tsolis, the event featured presentations on international best practices, contemporary risk management approaches, as well as the legal and regulatory aspects that influence the effective implementation of these financial products.

Participants engaged in interactive discussions and practical sessions, addressing in a concrete manner the differences between factoring and reverse factoring, the identification of key risks, and the organizational requirements for developing and operating these products within banking institutions.

This activity reinforces the commitment of FCI and AAB to supporting the development of professional capacities in the banking sector and to promoting the use of innovative financial instruments that contribute to sustainable economic growth and the strengthening of supply chains in Albania.

*FCI is the global representative body for factoring and open account receivables finance in domestic and international trade.
