Award Ceremony for the “Stock Market Learning Competition” 2025–2026

On February 3, AAB in cooperation with the Bank of Albania and German Sparkassenstiftung Albania, organized the award ceremony for the “Stock Market Learning Competition,” an initiative aimed at strengthening professional financial education within the banking sector.

Participants managed a simulated investment portfolio for three months, applying real market strategies and deepening their knowledge of investments, risk management, and capital markets.

In his remarks, AAB Secretary General, Mr. Spiro Brumbulli, stated:
“This edition included participation from all banks, with a total of 139 employees, not only from Treasury, but also from various functions across the banks, nearly twice as many as in the previous edition. This is a new generation that fills us with optimism, as the banking industry is producing professionals capable of understanding market changes. As an Association, we have expanded our focus on financial education, working not only with schools and businesses, but now also with another important segment within our own sector, the employees of banks.”

Welcome remarks were also delivered by Mr. Altin Tanku, Director of the Research Department at the Bank of Albania, and Ms. Anja Deinzer, Director of German Sparkassenstiftung Albania, who highlighted the importance of this initiative in developing practical skills and strengthening professional capacities within the banking sector.
