A wine reception with journalists

At the close of a year marked by significant developments in the country’s banking and financial sector, AAB organized a special reception for economic journalists representing the main national media outlets. The event was held in a friendly and engaging atmosphere, serving as an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the year coming to an end and the challenges ahead.
Participants were welcomed by the President of the Association, Mr. Bledar Shella, who thanked journalists for their continuous contribution to public information and for the professional coverage of developments in the banking system. He noted that the year now concluding was characterized by important reforms and initiatives, such as Open Banking, accession to SEPA, as well as the entry into the market of three new banks, which have increased competition and the diversity of financial services.
During his remarks, Mr. Shella emphasized that the coming year is expected to be equally challenging and dynamic, with a particular focus on efforts toward an economy increasingly less dependent on cash, as well as the finalization of the instant payments project. These developments represent another important step in the digitalization of banking services and products, as well as in improving customer experience.
The meeting was accompanied by open discussions between AAB representatives and journalists, addressing current issues in the banking and financial sector, expected trends for the coming year, and the essential role of the media in informing and educating the public about these developments. The warm and collaborative atmosphere of the event also provided an opportunity to further strengthen relations and cooperation between AAB and economic media.
