The Albanian Association of Banks (AAB) elects the new chairman of the Supervisory Board

On March 7, 2023, AAB and CRIF, a company specializing in offering innovative digital solutions to banks, financial institutions, utility companies, and businesses, in every phase of the customer relationship, organized a workshop on Open Banking. Through practical examples applied by the CRIF company, the activity aimed to present a full view of the Open Banking implementation process. Representatives of the Bank of Albania and commercial banks attended the workshop.
In their presentation, representatives of the CRIF company referred to the current market situation and the CRIFF approach to the credit journey. They demonstrated how the whole process works, continuing with an interactive discussion with participants. In addition, the next steps – a general overview of Go-live, were presented.
This presentation was carried out considering the interest of banks in this new service as well as the extensive experience of the CRIF company in the Open Banking market, one of the most innovative concepts introduced by PSD2, reflected also in the new law for payment services, which is expected to begin its application in Albania in January 2024.
