The Chairman of the Albanian Association of Banks (AAB) participated in the eighth meeting of the National Payment System Committee (KKSP), which took place on November 9, 2022, in the premises of the Bank of Albania. In addition to the members of the KKSP, whose members are the Chairman of the Albanian Association of Banks and the Chairman of the Payments Committee in AAB, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance and Economy, as well as representatives from Financial Supervision Authority; World Bank; and other international institutions, representatives from banks, non-bank financial institutions, operators of national card payment schemes, etc.
The activity was opened by the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Luljeta Minxhozi, and was greeted by the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Gent Sejko, and the Minister of Finance and Economy, Mrs. Delina Ibrahimaj.
In his speech, Mr. Shella presented the achievements of the market so far and the projects in the future and emphasized the importance and priority that the banking industry has devoted to the development of the payment service, as an important part of the digitalization process.
