AAB bids farewell to Mr. Alessandro D’Oria and welcomes his successor at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania
The Albanian Association of Banks (AAB) organized a cordial evening of appreciation in honor of Mr. Alessandro D’Oria, Chief Executive Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania, on the occasion of the completion of his mandate in Albania. Mr. D’Oria had served as CEO and Member of the Bank’s Board of Directors since September 2021.
During the event, members of the AAB Supervisory Board and Mr. D’Oria’s colleagues from Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania expressed their gratitude for his valuable contribution to strengthening cooperation within the banking sector, as well as for his professional and collaborative approach over the past four years in Albania. With a distinguished career spanning 38 years in the banking sector across Italy and international markets, Mr. D’Oria was recognized for his calm leadership, commitment to excellence, and significant contribution to the development of the local banking market.
The evening was also attended by his successor, Mr. Giuseppe Giampietro, the new Chief Executive Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania. He brings over 25 years of international experience within the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, having held key positions in Corporate and Investment Banking.
Participants warmly welcomed Mr. Giampietro to Albania and expressed confidence that his extensive experience would continue to strengthen the banking sector and further develop relationships among the member banks of AAB.
